Dear Dad: Although you are not here in person, you are in my heart, and today marks your 76th birthday. I think of you every day, and miss you so much. Someday's are harder than others. But I think of your strength, and hear your words, and know that you are always with me. I thought the words to the song "Wind Beneath My Wings", our father daughter song we danced to on my wedding day. You are still, and always will be "The Wind Beneath My Wings". Happy Birthday. A year ago today, God had called you home. It still seems like yesterday we were talking and laughing together. We think of you always, and speak your name often. You may not be where we can see you, hug you, laugh with you. But in our hearts you will always be. It is so nice to hear and share all the wonderful times we had with you with family and friends. My first Thanksgiving without you. I thought of you all day, ( I think of you every day). I cried. I shared memories of you with those I love and spent the day with. I am thankful for all the memories you left me. I miss you so much dad. I still hear you at night saying your ritual good night words. I still say "good night dad, I love you".

Dad, I will always cherish the memories of the time we spent together on our hunting outings, always looking for that big buck. And our fishing excursions to State Park and Whitney Point with uncle Ken. How we would tell each other those stupid jokes over and over again, laughing at them every single time, no matter how many times we told them. All of the many other memories, too many to mention. I will be thinking of you, and missing you ever day dad.
