Memories & Candles
Dear Walter and Family,
I only just learned of my friends passing. I just read what everyone else has written and find myself deeply saddened. I guess I thought she would beat the cancer. That if anyone could, it would be Karen.
She made my day, truly, every time she walked through the door of my store. Her smile will be with me forever. I am so sorry for your loss. For all our loss of such a special person. My deepest condolences.

Interning for Karen was my first real job. As a nervous 17 year old entering the workforce for the first time in my life, Karen was the most wonderful, understanding, passionate and patient teacher I have ever known. And although I might not have ended up in the interior design industry, the basic life lessons she taught me through those two summer internships have stuck with me ever since. She lived her virtues, and because of that, everyone loved and

I knew Karen since 1989, when she helped me decorate the living room of my first home. I still have many of the pieces that she helped me buy. Most recently, she helped me with all of the furniture in my current living room and study. Karen was always so vivacious and positive. She was amazingly talented. Not a day goes by that I don't look at the pieces she picked out for me & appreciate the joy they bring

Walter, Karen and i were in the Garden Villas group of kids. We swam together and our families were close. I only recently reconnected with her through Facebook. I want to extend my deepest sympathies to you and your children. Just last Spring I saw Jimmy and we talked about all the kids and old times.
Karen will be missed by soooo many and she was loved by them all.

Walter, do you remember introducing me to
music. We were having a party & you played a Willie
Nelson song, or we heard one & I said to Karen that I loved it.
Is he old? Walter said Yes, he is old. How old I said?
Oh, he is at least 40. I had just
had my 40th birthday!
Karen laughed & then we all were laughing at old Sherli.
We were in Dallas at the time of the Service or we would

Walter: I am so sorry about Karen's passing, and that I didn't have the pleasure of knowing her. I read the email from Tom Shelton and found out from Debbie Fincher what a lovely person and good friend she was during her lifetime.
I lost my wife Lynn just a few years ago and mourn with you over the loss of your wife. While you are going through all of this turmoil, if you can, let your friends surround you with
