COLUMBIA - Hazel Cope Jenkins, 93, died Wednesday, December 12, 2012. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 17, 2012, in Greenlawn Memorial Park. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mrs. Jenkins was born in Columbia, a daughter of the late Pearl and J.A. Cope, in 1920. She was married to Thomas F. Jenkins who predeceased her. She served as the executive director of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce and managed Cabanis Dress Shop. She was a member of Forest Lake Women's Club and Kathwood Baptist Church.
Mrs. Jenkins is survived by two daughters, Toni J. Hogan of Tryon, N.C., and Wanda G. Jenkins of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Joseph E. Rankin of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Jennifer L. Rankin of Columbia, Tiffany H. Byrd of Columbia, T. Blake Grant of Powell, Ohio, and Michael J. Moore of Wheaton, Ill. and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Donna J. Byrd.
