Mr. Lacy was a wonderful mentor and friend during my years serving as a programmer under him at McAlister. He was such a gentlemen when I traveled with him out of town, taking the time to introduce himself to my parents. People today do not take the time to be that gracious. He was a special man. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to get to know him. He will be missed.

Dear Mrs. Lacy and Family: We are so sorry for your loss. He was such a sweet man. You two were so kind to do the Butterfly slides for our 4-H group. He was such a gentleman. You are in our prayers.

I am already missing Sterling, Every week when asked by the acting Rotary president, "Sterling? Do we have a song?" Sterling always had the same answer,"we got a good one". Even if it was not, it always was.
