Peter McKinley Ladd Obituary

Dearest Patrick and Mary Ellen,

You were extraordinary parents to a very special little boy. You accepted the challenge of raising him with grace, dedication and compassion. How lucky he was to have had you both!

Now you are role models in grief as you adjust to life without Peter. Take comfort in the knowledge that he has reached the ultimate goal of life, rejoicing in the Presence of God.

We burst with pride in you both.

Dad and Lois

Threr's a pain goes on and on..."
So true

I am so fortunate to have had peter in my ccd class for his first and second grades. Peter's smile always lit up the room, -- and he and the other children made a connection and had a special bond. I will never forget Peter, --- and what he taught me---what is really important in life--- faith, hard work, perseverance, and courage. I am blessed to have known him and to know the Ladd family.

Dear Ladd Family,
Our family is very sorry for your loss. My children have fond memories of being in school with Peter. I was personally moved by Peter giving his father a flower during the Veteran's Day ceremony each year at Norfeldt. Patrick would be in full uniform and it was a pleasure to see Son and Dad in such a special moment. Sincerely, The Berman Family

I have known Peter since he was 4 at Camp Bulova. I was the assistant director and he attended the camp at HARC on Saturdays. He loved the visit from Rocky the Rock Cat and enjoyed doing art projects and listening to me play the keyboard and sing to him and the other campers. Our paths crossed again recently as I encamped the Assistive Technology Specialist at his school and came to his house to observe him using his eyegaze

Dearest Ladd family,
I have just returned from a family retreat and have been told of Peter's passing. Words cannot express how much Peter impacted my life as an educator and that of his Kindergarten peers as well. Peter's infectious smile, laugh, and interactions with his fellow 5 year olds were a lesson in what made Pete more like his peers than different. I have so many wonderful memories of him: painting the mock Sistine Chapel, and loving each time we
