In memory of Grandpa Schwartz

Steel town beginnings ….

Rearing eleven fine children.
In a city of mills
All his kids became winners
Unlike our poor Bills.

It was soon time to depart
That town by the lake
Leaving the snow and cold.
Could this be a mistake?

This was no error,
It was part of God's plan
A move out West with Jean.
And the great Schwartz-Lillico clan

California dreamin'

Another hazy day by the pool,
And there's Grandpa and his book.
Drinking tab like its fine wine,
All saddled up in

Dad,

You are the most loving man that I have ever known. To have been your daughter was a real gift and blessing. I always knew that you would make everything alright whether it be from the advice you bestowed upon me or your actions. I felt protected from the world as long as I had my Dad. I know that it took a lot of perseverance, patiatance, love and humor to be a father of fifteen, how you did it

I will always remember fondly my childhood with my brothers playing with Grandpa Schwartz in his pool and having a wonderful time at their house. There was always love and laughter in their home.

I hope we all remember him and smile with warm loving memories.

Dear "Favorite Father",
From your love of family, tradition and work ethic to the things like finding tranquility at the ocean, working in the garden, listening to good music and reading a great book, these are just some of the things I learned from you. The greatest gifts were the role model you were as a loving and devoted husband to two wonderful women, your unconditional love, knowing that you were always there for me and your integrity. My life was blessed because God gave me you.
