Terry, Nancy, and clan, very sorry to hear of your mother/grandmother's passing. I am sure she was one grand lady - particularly as I have read the comments on this web site. AND, she had to be one fabulous mother to have successfully reared Dr. Terry - must have been quite a challenge! Just kidding.

My thoughts are with you Terry and all - none of us relish becoming an orphan.

I have had the priviledged to know Lavon all my life. She has been a fine Mother-in-Law to me for almost 44 years. Lavon always treated me like her daughter. She was one very sweet and kind lady, fabulous Mother and, terrific Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. She loved all of her family very much and they in return loved her. We have all been so lucky to have you in our lives.

Kathryn Lavon McMath Brown had a life well lived. You

When I clicked on the familiar Watson-Armstrong link, there was Lavon's beautiful smile! It was such a blessing to see her again when we laid Lila to rest. She still had that twinkle in her eye. I am thinking of you all and lifting you all in prayer as you gather at the church and the cemetery today. My favorite memory of Lavon is of her preparing the noon meal during one of my childhood visits. She made fried chicken.

Terry and Anna and families, I am so sorry to learn about Lavons passing. She was one I always looked forward to seeing when I returned to work in March. We had lots of good talks, and she always wanted to know where I bought my clothes and if I ever wanted to sell some. She was a funny, loving, and caring lady that I am going to miss very much. You are in our thoughts and prayers, and we will also miss your families and their regular visits. We were blessed to have Lavon at Clearview.

My sympathy to the family. Lavon was my teacher at Star Center for 2 or three years, and one of my favorites and as for as I know the last living one. I was able to see her in Clearview about a year and half ago and we had a good visit the same beautiful nice lady I so fondly remember and she remembered some of the stories from her teaching us . I have kept up through the Clearview new in the Diagonal paper I will miss seeing your visits. God Bless you all. Mary Stamper

I have known Lavon for almost 51 years, going back to March 1962 when I started working for Paul on Saturdays during the school year and during summers after my sophomore and junior years at Clearfield High School. I will always remember Lavon as a kind and caring person and a great cook. Paul made sure we stopped working in time to arrive in Lavon's kitchen at exactly 12 noon. Paul, Terry and Eileen usually only needed about 20 minutes

Terry, Anna and families...I cannot tell you how glad I am to have met your mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was so thoughtful and always wanted to be sure to send out her greeting cards for whatever the occasion. We spent some time together doing just that. She had quite the personality. She was so funny....if you're flying by her room she would say "Hey!" to get your attention and she would think about what she wanted you for

When I lived in Iowa I was working at clearfield nursing home and I had the pleasure of meeting and taking care of Lavon! She always asked about my kids and how my day was going. I was truly blessed to meet her! She was a GREAT lady!
