So very sorry to hear of your dads passing. Always loved talking with him in church. Happy, smiling always. God is good.

Dear Nancy, Connie, Loren, and Families,
We certainly extend our sympathies to each of you on the death of your Dad and Grandpa. Uncle Pete and all of you have been in our thoughts and prayers through this Christmas season and especially this week and today. I remember his quiet nature with a listening ear and ready smile! What a nicely written obituary with a beautifully planned tribute at his Memorial Service this afternoon. We're disappointed that we won't be able

Of you, Loren and Judy and family, nancy and ken and family and Connie and dillon. What a passion Pete had for you and for life. WHAT a guy, remembered forever. Theresa, you are in my prayers also. Love to all. Aunt Doris in Washington.

So very sorry for your loss Connie. Although I didn't know your father, he looks like a very dear, sweet man, that everyone would love upon meeting. I know how close you were to him. I'm glad you have wonderful memories to treasure. I'm sure there will be good things for him in the new world he has entered.

Connie, I am sorry for your loss. I know what it's like to send a father to heaven. I will pray for God's comfort for you and the family.

What a beautiful smile Pete had, and as a kid you never paid attention to what your friends, parents did. Sounds like he was quite a business man, giving and kind. You'all were blessed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you! I'm so thankful to have seen uncle Pete while visiting In Michigan in sept. even tho uncle Pete wasn't at the top of his game, he still offered his warm gentle smile to let you know he was really glad to see you! The Toppen family will miss this wise gentle soul! Love to all of you...

Although I am in Florida now and will not be able to come to the funeral I do want to express my sadness at the passing of a man I always knew as Uncle Pete. Whenever we came to Granville we always went to Pete and Edith's first where we knew we would be welcomed and receive wonderful hospitality. Its hard to imagine the Toppen family without Uncle Pete. I know he is among the heavenly saints and for that
