Laura Mae Toney, age 70, of Calton Road, Bostic, NC, died Saturday, June 2, 2012 at her residence.
Laura was born November 29, 1941 in Rutherford County to the late Julius D. Weeks, Jr. and Cora Mae Arrowood Weeks. She worked in the textile industry most of her life and was a longtime member of Ross Hill Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and sewing. She loved her family dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded by one son, Ray Dean Toney and one brother, J.D. Weeks.
Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Frank Toney; two daughters, Cynthia Yelton of Bostic and Lisa McCarthy and husband, Bobby of Shelby; two sons, Phillip Toney and wife, Brandi and Keith Toney and wife, Brandy all of Bostic; one brother, Rupert Weeks and wife, Peggy of Mt. Vernon. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
