Memories & Candles
I played against Coach Deuel's basketball team in the late 1960's when Montrose High School would play exhibition games with Catholic Central.
Years later I would visit Mr. Deuel when I worked as an admissions counselor and he was then a guidance counselor. I have never forgotten his graciousness and kindness. His caring attitude toward his students was so
obvious. Over the years whenever he would come to mind I would remember his wonderful smile. He liived his life by example. I will never forget him and what he taught me.

Mr. Deuel was a wonderful man who made a positive impression on the hundreds of young adults he mentored. He had a heart of gold. Rest in peace

Coach Duel was an inspiration and role model for his students and players. My thoughts are with the Duel family.

My condolences to Mr Deuels family. I had Mr Deuel as a teacher in mid 60's at CCHS. He never had a bad word towards anyone.....not even me........even when I was a "challenge" at times in his class. A great teacher, coach, counselor and gentleman. He will be missed.

As a student at Seton Catholic HS, my first look of Mr. Deuel was as an opposing basketball and baseball coach. Later in life, I refereed some of his HS basketball games. I heard good things about him from my wife, a graduate of CCHS, and her classmates. He was very popular and respected for preparing his students for their journey through life. George was a class guy and highly successful, when measured by the positive effect he had on

Thoughts and prayers to the family on "Mr. Deuel". I had him as a guidance counselor at CCHS in hte 70's. He helped me with my career path, and was a wonderful part of my high school years. A true gentleman. May he rest in well deserved peace.

My condolences to all the Deuel Family;
Growing up there were three men who had a strong influence on me: my dad, my grandpa, and Mr. Deuel. I had the pleasure of being the varsity basketball manager under Coach Deuel at CCHS during my years there. He always did things the right way and taught you to respect people. The leesons I learned have stayed with me to this day.
While our paths didn't cross since his move to Florida many years

I was very sorry to hear that George had passed away. I know that he had been ill for some time, but his passing does not make it less sad. He was a true gentleman, and may he rest in peace. May God give you the strength to get through this sad time.
