To the Fassbender Family, I'm so sad to see that your mother passed away. I'll never forget thinking that she was the most energetic person I'd ever seen. She set such a good example for all of us to follow- she was a true teacher. I remember someone once calling her Saint Elaine at the High School where she taught. She was a wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you!

To Lisa ...I am sorry to hear about the passing of you Mom. It's been a long time since we had so much fun "running" from between yours and Ahonen's houses! I can still picture your Mom from those days. I trust you had a wonderful celebration of life for her and I wish that only the many, many happy memories remain with you forever. Hugs, Lynda

I will always remember Elaine's elegant dinner parties and superb cooking. It was a pleasure to spend an evening of fine dining at her home or to sit out in her beautiful backyard, admiring her gardens. Elaine enjoyed discussing the "hot topics" in local and national news. She
was not afraid to share her opinions with others and this made conversation
with her stimulating and never dull! She was a proud and strong person who
lived and left this life on her own terms.

Dear Family of Elaine,
Elaine was a late gift in my life. We shared our creativity in St. Michael's Art & Environment Committee. I really appreciated her forthright input and loved working with her,. In recent years she asked me to be in the kitchen with her near that huge cauldron of vegetable beef soup that was a hallmark of the Altar Society Bazaar. Petite Elaine with chef's hat and apron was always on the top of her game-spiritually and as

To all who knew and loved Elaine, especially her children, grandchildren and family, I had the privilege of serving with Elaine on the Arts and Environment Committee at St. Michael Parish for some years. I admired Elaine's creative and dedicated use of her time and talent, her faith and her smile. She will be missed. Keeping all of you in my prayers. I will smile and think of her especially when I see the Christmas wreaths each year.
