Marcella Hooper Mays McGraw, age 91, of Dixon, KY, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Redbanks Nursing Home.

She was born in Henderson County on August 14, 1921, to James N. and Lillian Eakins Hooper. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and working out of doors. She was a member of Geneva Baptist Church. She also worked for a number of years at the Geneva Store, formerly Patterson's Grocery, and made many good friends during her time there.

In addition to her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by five siblings; her first husband of 40 years, Rolly M. Mays; one son, Bobby Mays, and a granddaughter, Sherry Amiet. Her late husband of 23 years, Estill "Pete" McGraw of Dixon, Kentucky, died in 2012.

Family and friends are invited to Marcella's Life Celebration from 3:00-8:00pm on Friday, and again at 9:00am on Saturday at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday at the funeral home with Reverend Hollis Marshall officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY.
