To the family of Russell --
The School of Architecture sends our condolences to you during this sad time. Russell was an active and good alumnus of the School, particularly with the students that he worked with as a mentor. His passing is a great loss to our community.
Sincerely,
Jori Erdman

Russell was one of best friends growing up, and I cannot imagine a nicer, kind-hearted person. It seems like yesterday that Russell, John, Chris, Jimmy, and I were listening to John's radio on 26th Street and having the time of our lives. Some of my best memories of growing up included times that I spent with Russell. He will be missed.

Words fall short of expressing my sorrow for your loss. My younger brother John used to play with Russell. I remember him being around the house and neighborhood in our younger days on 26th Street in Metairie.

May the memories you share of Russell be a comfort to you in this time of loss. The legacy that Russ left is an amazing gift that he has given to the children of Louisiana through his work. God Bless you all and know that Russ is surrounded today by unimaginable love.
