Memories & Candles
First met PJ in SNET phone store, couldn't miss him. He was a delightful gentleman with a big smile. We met again when the world special olympics came to New Haven. He was a blessing to the young people he worked with. So sorry to see of his passing. Although you're sad now, you had him for so long in your lives. God Bless.

My deepest condolences to the Pegues family. Mr. Pegues was well thought off, we'll respected and well loved. His presence will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. Our thoughts are with each of you as you go through this difficult time.

Dear Cheryl and family,
PG and I shared lots of laughs and good conversations while working together for Adult Ed and Dwight School.
I never had to worry about my dad when he went on trips with the Senior Center, because PG always looked out for him. PG was a gentle giant sojourning this earth, but now, he's an angel walking around his heavenly home. We will meet up with him one day, IF, we live the way he did. God's peace.

My prayers and sympathy go out to the family. This man's smile and authenticity will surely be missed. And I will miss the conversations with him of shared memories of my father. A gentle giant for sure. He will be missed. God bless

Our prayers and condolences to Cheryl, Elicia and Trey. My mother (Minister Doris Jean Teel, 1931-1988), was a fan of Mr. "PG" (as she called him). She just loved his demeanor and humbleness. I enjoyed line dancing with him and he knew the steps. He is missed so much!! He was patient, caring, and had a kind and gentle heart. May the Lord comfort and strengthen you during this time of bereavement. Mr. Pegues will always be in our memories. God bless. Love, Carol and Shante Teel and family

I met Mr. Pegues when he came to work at Hillhouse as a security guard. He was a gentleman, a scholar, a role model, a guardian, a caring and loving human being. He loved the staff and students of Hillhouse. He took great pride in his work and worked diligently to provide a safe and orderly learning and working environment at Hillhouse. I admired and respected him for his honesty, his integrity, his sincerity and his decency. We talked frequently
