David "D.J." Harding James, 55, of Carpenter Ave., Attleboro, a loving son and friend, passed January 4, 2013 at home. David was the beloved son of the late Roland "Gus" A. and Meredyth (Harding) James and was born on July 11, 1957 in Haverhill, MA. A longtime resident of Haverhill, D.J. was educated at Sacred Heart School and was a graduate of Haverhill High School, class of 1975. He was formerly employed as a clean room technician at Lucent Technologies in North Andover for over twenty years. A resident of Attleboro the past twelve years, D.J. was an avid bicycle rider, enjoyed camping and driving his black Cadillac Eldorado. David also enjoyed visiting his friends at Honey Dew Donuts at County Square in Attleboro and was a Friend of Bill W. D.J. is survived by his close friend Cyndy Gray of Seekonk and his extended family: Wendy and Clifford Colby of Seekonk and their children: Nicholas Joseph Colby and Nathan Beau Colby. David is also survived by many local friends. Family and friends are kindly invited at attend visiting hours on Saturday, February 9, 2013 from 1 PM – 3 PM in the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A funeral service conducted by Rev. Mr. Adel Malloy of St. John the Evangelist Church will follow on Saturday at 3 PM. D.J. will be laid to rest at a later date in St. Patrick Cemetery in Haverhill.
