About 10 years ago on Mothers Day, Abdoul and I were with Donna as she started to walk with the Lord in I think an ihop or waffle house. That day would change her life forever. In the best way she knew how, Donna would walk with Jesus on earth as she now does in a pain free, tear free heaven. She is breathing deep breaths of Grace like she never has.

In the best way she knew how, Donna would walk with Jesus on earth as she now does in a pain free, tear free heaven. She is breathing deep breaths of Grace like she never has.

And even though she is with Jesus, and I am really at peace with that, I wish she were here. The best place for her is here with us. But she is not, and she is in the exact place she needs to be, and I’m excited to get to see her again one day.

My pastor made the statement once that “Grace is more powerful and surer than death.” It is Grace that conquered death, it is Grace that gave Donna faith, it is Grace that gives us faith. Faith in Jesus, who is “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

Gonna miss Donna terribly but know Ill see her again when Jesus calls me home.

I first met Donna one evening, after she brought Zach to House of Hope. My daughter Alora also attends the program there. I enjoyed my conversations with Donna, and had swapped phone numbers, hoping that we would spend some time getting to know one another over the summer, while swimming in our pool. But, God decided He had other plans for Donna this summer.

Zach, I know this is so completely devastating to you. The pain, loneliness, doubt, despair and questioning you are facing is overwhelming and incomprehensible. But, KNOW that God knows the pain and loneliness you are facing. Yet, His ways are not our ways. His timing is not our timing. As much as we cannot understand how God would or could remove Donna from our lives, most importantly YOUR life; know that God does have the bigger picture in sight. Often times, we cannot see or understand that picture. And in such despair, answers are all you really want. It is in these times, that you need to Seek the Lord with ALL your heart~

God does have plans to prosper you and NOT to hurt you Zach. To give you a Hope and a Future. It may be hard to see those plans during this very difficult time, but KNOW that He is there for you, whenever and however you need Him. He will never forsake or abandon you. Use this time to draw closer to Him. House of Hope can help you through this journey. Stay on the path God has intended for you Zach. The path may prove difficult and you may want to give up or turn back, but keep pressing forward to those things that are before you. Trust in the Lord , with ALL your heart, do not lean on your own understanding...in ALL your ways, acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.

I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT DONNA'S PASSING- I WENT TO SCHOOL WITH HER AND SHE WAS SUCH A SWEETHEART! MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH HER FAMILY

Please know that my prayers are being lifted up for you during this most difficult time. Donna was so young to leave family and friends behind. She has now gone ahead of all of us who are, as she was, children of our Lord Jesus Christ. You will have a void place in your hearts until that day you all are joined with her once again where there is no more pain or heartache.
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I say Rejoice.
