Dear Susan & Family, I am so sorry to hear about Joe's passing. He was so full of energy & attitude, I thought he would live forever. I enjoyed his company (& yours, Susan) so much when I worked at the Evening Capital. I wish you comfort & peace after this loss.

I am very sorry to hear that Joe passed away. I always enjoyed chatting with him after events at Severn. My late father, Wayne, and I also liked to read Joe's columns.

I am very sorry for your loss. Linda and I had dinner with Connie and Rob a couple of weeks ago and I asked how Joe was doing. I didn't see a lot of him, but he was always a joy to be around. He'll be missed.

Today I found out about Joe's passing. Was totally shocked. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing. We, Chuck and I , have fond memories of Joe. The theater brought our kids together as well as where we developed a friendship. I called Mark and Tiffani today when I found out and they were in such a state of sadness. What a precious soul. Will be praying that our Lord gives the Gross family comfort. No words

Back in the days when I covered Navy sports, I always enjoyed attending games and press conferences with Joe. While we were never close friends, it was always a pleasure through the years to run into him and you. I am sorry for your loss.

Joe didn't pass on, he passed over to a better place. His family and friends will pass him on through their minds and their hearts. Every time they share a Joe memory with others, they will be passing him on. His character and humor will be passed on. That way he'll always be around. He'll be missed but not forgotten. God Bless.
