Memories & Candles
After many years I just reconnected with Erick and learned of Dolores' passing. Of the many, many things I wish I could say, the most important is thank you. Thank you for years of great childhood memories on the farm in Berkley, especially the muffins, which I now make with my children while thinking of you and all the mornings I was lucky to share with your family.

Dolores, you will forever be in my heart and fondest memories. I have searched my soul for forgiveness for any wrongdoings I may have shown. I will NEVER forget your laugh, your smile, your LOVING family at 166 Metropolitan Ave. You taught me so much, and I, like a fool, didn't learn.
May God keep you in his grace and loving care. My prayers and best wishes go to you and your family. You will always be loved and we thank you for your life lessons you bestowed on us all.
I love you now and forever

Dearest Ferzoco and Bourke Families,
Doloreswas one of my most cherished childhood friends with whom I shared many memorable events teenage girls stumble through together. I tried many times to write a letter of condolence to you but couldn't find the right words or stop crying and babbling on long enough to finish. It is with a heavy heart that I send my long overdue expression of sympathy. I am so very sorry for your loss, but hope after your well

From my earliest memories, I remember Dolores as the one who could light up the room. Her smile, her laughter, her warmth, friendliness and love made everyone who had the pleasure of being with her feel that there was something very special in them. She always had time for a welcoming word and a big hug. My deepest sympathy's, thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. You now have a beautiful angel watching over you.

To Ellie and her great big family: Coincidentally, I saw Dee's picture(s) at the Farley Funeral home the other day while making arrangements for my mother's wake and funeral. Though I was unaware of who she was, I felt sad to see that such a lovely young woman had passed. Later, when I stoped by the funeral home to deliver something, I could barely get in the door. What a beautiful tribute to see so many people paying their respects.

This morning at St. James Church we celebrated Delores' life, a life well lived. Delores will always be smiling in our memories for that is how she lived her life, excited, optimistic, energetic, and always looking for and expecting the best.
Her devotion to her boys, her grandson, her Mom, her husband, her brothers and sisters and family was remarkable. Where did she find the enthusiasm to care for her friends and colleagues and students as well? What a blessing she was in all of our lives, what an inspiration.
Rest well, dear Delores, we will forever speak of you fondly.
