I do have fond memories as a child with Uncle Vernon. Country family and all a young child needs for growing up with love. Rest in peace sir.

Uncle Vernon was the sweetest Uncle any Niece could want. I fondly remember living on Elmore Rd. with my mom and dad's home and his and Aunt Katrina's home right next to ours. Uncle Vernon and my Dad, John A. built their houses on land that was considered out in the country then. Those were such wonderful childhood memories.

Rest in Peace Uncle Vernon. I will miss you very much.

I WANT TO EXPRESS OUR DEEPEST SORROW TO VERNON'S
FAMILY IN THEIR TIME OF LOSS.. VERNON AND I HAVE
BEEN FRIENDS FOR A NUMBER OF YEARS AND I WILL MISS
HIS FRIENDSHIP AND VISITS FOR A LONG TIME.. I WAS
GOING TO VISIT THE DAY AFTER HIS PASSING, BUT DIDN'T KNOW HE WENT TO BE WITH HIS LORD, TILL THE NEXT DAY
WISH I HAD WENT THE WEEK BEFORE, AS I WAS IN DOVER
THAT DAY. THANKS FOR BEING MY FRIEND AND HAM FRIEND.

Wow, so many memories of Uncle Vernon and Aunt Katrina, I can’t describe them all. Both always made me feel so special. Roaming their mountain top, climbing trees, digging footings for the house, feeding fish and driving the riding lawn mower are only a few. Aunt Katrina’s homemade ketchup was always my favorite with fried fish. One of the biggest deals to me was when Uncle Vernon got a new Winchester rifle and we took it to the pond to sight. Both were admirable individuals.
