Memories & Candles
To: Family of Ricky Hranicky and Chuck --
Ricky will be greatly missed by friends, neighbors, clients and family. His sweet smile and genuine interest in all are precious qualities. He loved talking about his siblings, as well as his parents. I could tell he was proud of you all. Chuck, he also had great pride in your talent and your kindness toward your children. That is what was special about Ricky. He never left anyone out! His spirit will be with us forever.

Met Ricky at Katz's Deli in Austin with group of friends in 1989. I recall how friendly and what a winning smile. He talked of the family bakery making Squaw Sweet Rolls. He visited me often in San Antonio and later when in Dallas. Never seen him unhappy and always had a good story to tell...a true life of the party. All my love to his family.

My daughter Kacey Downing insantly fell in love with Ricky and his family. So as it is with our children, when they love, we love, when they hurt, we hurt.
My sincerest condolences to you and your family for the loss of your beautiful and precious son. I will be keeping you in my thoughts in the days ahead in hope that the wonderful memories you have of Ricky will see you through.

Ricky, you will be missed. You left many wonderful memories that will never be forgotten - your smile (what a smile), your heart (such goodness), your "sassy" comments (what zingers), and above all else, you, Ricky Hranicky . . . Andy, Renn, Jamey, Jason and I (the Sassys) wouldn't be the men we are today had you not been there!! Love ya!

Ricky,
I was so shocked and saddened to hear about your passing. You were an integral part of my life and high school would have been so boring if you weren't my friend. My heart goes out to the Hranicky family for their loss.
Love,
Andrew Byrum
