Memories & Candles
Ray always had kind words and a friendly smile every time I saw him. After living elsewhere for years, I returned to Henry County to find he was my neighbor. It was great to be welcomed to the neighborhood by an old friend and to renew our friendship. I will miss him, as will all of us; the Rainer family is one that those of us who grew up here will always remember and appreciate as friends.

I was saddened to hear that Ray passed away. I was welcomed as family when I moved to Mcdonough in 1986 to attend mortuary school. Ray and Fred taught me so much about the funeral business and that taking care of the families was very important. I have carried on their values still today with the families that count on me to be there for them. I have always tried to stay in touch and to never let that friendship

So sorry we had not kept in touch threw the years! We had a good time growing up in McDonough!! We were just a little sleepy town back then, playing in the creeks, rideing bikes, sliding down the hill behind the post office on cardboard. Our prayers are with your families.

With such wonderful memories of Sunday School and teaching his boys and how he helped me with our activities as well as being with me after the loss of my mother. He was a great comforter in times of sorrow.
He left behind a legacy of caring.

As a fellow Vietnam Veteran I want to thank you for the service to our country and the sacrifices you have made in your life. There are not many people on this earth that have gone thru what you and I have experienced in the 60's and 70's. Then we came home to a country that did not appreciate us. We both brought alot of horrible experiences back with us. I have always understood what you were going thru

So many memories are coming to mind. The great Halloween wagon rides in Wellington and the church Christmas parades. Watching you two boys becoming great men made your Mom and Dad proud.
