Thomas J. "Tom" Leick

Thomas J. "Tom" Leick, age 66, of 6300 Pawnee Lane, passes away at 9:49 a.m., Monday, February 25, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center-Dubuque, of natural causes. Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Behr Funeral Home, 1491 Main St., with Deacon David McGhee officiating. There will be a military flag presentation by the Dubuque Marine Corps League. To celebrate Tom's life friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Behr Funeral Home.

Tom was born on May 11, 1946, in Kansas City, MO, son of Alfred A. and Hilda (Weiland) Leick.

Tom was a Vietnam veteran, who went back to Vietnam every day in his mind. He was a member of the Tri-State Vietnam Vets Association, AARP, St. Anthony's Church and a charter member of Taskforce Omega. Tom spent hours tinkering around fixing things. He was employed as an over-the-road truck driver for over 20 years, until his retirement in 2007. Later in life, Tom married his true love of over thirty years, Constance Lea "Connie" Murphy Stogdill on February 18, 2009, in Las Vegas, NV. He was "reborn" to live a very loving, happy and "adventurous" life with Connie. They loved traveling together. Tom was loved and adored by his family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents.

A Thomas J. Leick memorial fund has been established.
