Louise Gorman, 89, of Evansville, passed away on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, at Heritage Center Nursing Care and Residential Assisted Living. Louise touched many lives and left smiles on many faces throughout her life. Maybe you met Louise when she attended Lockyear Business College, or remember her from Nativity Church or school where she worked as a secretary. Many will remember Louise from her years at Memorial High School working in the Athletic Office for Ron Wannemuehler, often stating her love of that office and of Memorial. You may also have met Louise as a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital Gift Shop. Louise was a resident of Holiday Retirement Village for three years where she was a recipient of much loving care and enjoyed many new friendships. Louise is survived by her sons and their wives, Galen and Diana Gorman of Corona, Calif., Gerry and Carol Ann Gorman of Evansville and Ric and Katherine Gorman of Hilton Head, S.C. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Monica and Richard Shoults of Arlington, Texas, Julie Gorman of Chino Hills, Calif., Emily and Chris Winn of Corona, Calif., Kelly and David Buttrum of Evansville, Jeff and Amy Gorman of Evansville, Kerry and Chris Wesner of Cincinnati, Ohio, Ryan Gorman of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Chase Gorman of Hilton Head, S.C. She also was the great-grandmother of fourteen, Matthew and Lauren Shoults, Tristan and Joslyn Winn, Mallory and Drew Buttrum, Jacob, Caroline and Allison Gorman, and Annie, Emma, Isaac, Ava and Eli Wesner. Her only sibling, her sister, Nancy Oskins, also survives her. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, in 2006. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009, from 3 to 8 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 6300 N. First Avenue, Evansville, IN 47710, and continue on Saturday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 918 W. Mill Road, Evansville, IN 47710. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 6 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home, North Chapel. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Father Paul Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
