Condolence & Memory Journal

About twenty two years ago I attended a women's conference in Virgina and she was the guest speaker. She spoke on "Transformation" using Joseph's story in Genesis. The message was so profound that to this date I never forgot the impact it had had my life. Yesterday I decided to view the tapes again and after viewing them felt the same impact it had on me twenty years ago. I decided to check the internet today to see what she was up too and to try and get some of her messages only to discover that she died two months ago. Her spiritual insight into the scriptures was so deep and profound that when she speaks it left an indelible impression on your heart that will last a life time. She had a great sense of humor.

When I moved to NC from Florida in 2001 I heard about Mary Ann Brown. We attended a Women of the Word Conference at Ridgecrest in 2002. I was blown away by her messages. She was geniune and real. I have heard her speak since then at the conferences in Ridgecrest as well as the one she spoke at in Georgia in 2010. She really inspired us. She was a rare kind of person. I'm afraid there are very few real women of God still speaking today. I'm so thankful that I was priviledged to sit under her ministry. My mother also passed away with Cancer of the Pancreas so I know what she went through. Praise God Mary Ann is with Jesus and her Blessed husband in Heaven.

I pray for God to give her family strength as they deal with their loss
in the coming days

Dear Family, You don't know us, but we knew your dear Mary Ann. We had a number of occassions to hear her minister God's Word in such a unique and powerful way through Women of the Word conferences here in Maine and throughout New England. We were so blessed to be able to watch a tribute to her live at Dr. Kennedy's church in Georgia.
She will be sooo missed by countless many. Our prayers are with you all. From the ladies at Searsport Full Gospel Church on the coast in Searsport, Maine.

I remember the wonderful times we had together in the 1980's when Mary Ann was associated with our ministry. We were together on a trip to the Holy Land and did a number of conferences together. It hurts my heart to see her go home so soon. I know she impacted many lives in her lifetime and I still have vidoes of her teaching which was always rich and annointed. I hope all the family members realize what a GREAT WOMEN OF GOD she was. I remember only good and wonderful things about her.

Sister Mary Ann was a friend to this ministry and a prophetic voice to the body of Christ. Her personal humor, woven into every presentation of God's Word, opened our hearts to receive the Word implanted - even when the Word was strong. Her unfailing integrity and faithfulness kept her from following the "winds of doctrine" that blew through the body of Christ during her lifetime, yet she remained humble and open to receive and advance the gospel of the Kingdom in her heart and through her ministry. As my friend Dale Fraiser said, "There are many voices but hers was a great voice". She will be greatly missed. She was very appreciative and kind. I only wish i had the chance to meet her face to face.I have known Donny for years and i could tell that she was a wonderful parent by the way she raised her kids. The church has lost a true Mom in the faith to so many of us. Mary Ann was a rare jewel. The light of Christ shown through her so beautifully. My life and minstry were deeply touched by the prophetic insight she had upon the calling of God on my life. Her humor in the pulpit has no real comparison...never has someone made me laugh so hard and at the same time, convict me of many sinful states in my heart. My wife, our children, and our church family are forever greatful for the fragance of Christ she gave to us. I could write a few pages of funny experiences we had together but I know others will do that. It was a priviledge to know her and experience the love of Christ through this great lady.
Our condolences to her dear family.

To family and friends:

Many speakers impact our lives, but rarely do we find one that can bring us true gospel teaching and personal experiences in a deep but lighthearted manner. Dr. Brown's teaching made an impact on many, including me at various Women of the Word conferences, and for that I thank God for His calling her and to her for allowing our Lord to use her in such beautiful way.

May God Bless You and Keep You.

I will never forget the first time I heard Mary Ann speak. What a wonderful way to learn God's ways and who He really is.

I never laughed so hard and at the same time felt so much from a message.
She knew how to get a person to search their own heart.

I feel sad for the people who will not get to hear her.
She is missed.

Rarely are we divinely destined to come face to face with greatness and the inspiration of God wrapped in a unique package called Mary Anne Brown. I have to smile as I think about the unique manner in which she delivered her powerful, godly messages. Mary Anne's humor and prophetic ability never failed to stir up my spirit and spur me on to rich spiritual growth.

Although my time knowing Mary Anne has been short; I will sorely miss my beloved Mary Anne. She will forever live in my heart, spirit and soul.

To Mary Anne's family and loved ones rest assured that God will not leave you comfortless. He will meet you at your point of pain and cover you with His grace, His love, and His strength. God has dispatched legions of His divine angels to accompany you thru your journey of sadness to his peace, courage, and joy.

Mary Ann was such an inspiration and blessing to so many of us -- her humor and ability to go straight to point of God's heart taught, led, and revitalized those of us who had the joy of knowing her and being on the receiving end of her ministry. She is in His arms now and sees Him face to face! My love and thanks to her family who shared her with the rest of us, her "extended" family. Dr. Mary Ann Brown was an inspiration to us all. I met her for the first time at a Women of the Word conference and her presence and sermons were heart changing. To Mary's Family - Mary Ann will be greatly missed. She loved her husband and family dearly. Mary Ann was equally at home whether speaking to large or medium sized crowds, or small gatherings. The anointing on her life and ministry was the same regardless of the platform size because it was important to her to hear from God and be exactly where He wanted her to be every time she ministered. What an honor for paths to have crossed a number of times and to learn from this woman who now is face to face with Jesus, Whom she served passionately. Thank you for giving up time with her so that others could know her too. May the comfort of the Holy Spirit lift you in to that same presence of which Mary Ann so often experienced through her life.
