Albert R. Hanley, 85, passed away Thursday, November 1, 2012 at Tidewell Hospice and Pallative Care in Port Charlotte, FL. Born in Fort Wayne, Albert worked as a Electrical Engineer with General Electric for 43 years, retiring in 1986. He was survived by his daughter, Deborah (Dane) Tubergen of Fort Wayne; daughter, Barbara (Joseph) Caruso of Fremont, IN; son, Larry (Alice) Wright of Donalsonville, GA; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; special friends, Florence Kleese, Norm and Joyce Sanders all of North Port, FL. Albert was preceded in death his wife LaVern Hanley; and parents, Edward and Thelma Hanley. Service is 2pm, Monday, November 12, 2012 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd. Calling also on Monday, November 12, 2012 from 11am-2pm at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
