Anthony Matthewus Pachot, 65, of Los Angeles, California, passed away on February 11, 2013, surrounded by family and loved ones.
Tony was born January 4, 1948, in Port of Spain, West Indies, the son of Cynthia and Carlton Pachot. He was the older of two siblings.
Tony joined the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department in 1975 and served in all aspects of law enforcement: Custody, Patrol, Aviation Patrol, Surveillance, Search and Rescue. He also distinguished himself as a Field Training Officer, Detective, Flight Instructor, and was a Medal of Valor recipient for the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. He served 20 years of his career dedicated to the Aero Bureau as a Helicopter Pilot. Deputy Pachot retired from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department on January 7, 2008 after 32 years of service with the Department.
He is survived by his mother and father, Cynthia and Carlton Pachot; sister, Brenda Pachot; son and daughter-in-law, Gavin and Tabatha Pachot; grandsons, Kellen and Jordan Pachot; niece and nephew Shannon and Ian Lockhart; and many loving friends.
Viewing/visitation will be held on Friday, February 22, 2013 from 3pm to 8pm at Holy Cross Mortuary 5835 W. Slauson Ave. Culver City, Ca. 90230.
Viewing before service 9am-9:45m at City of Refuge. Services will be held at 10a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 at City of Refuge, 14527 S San Pedro Gardenia, Ca. 90248. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery/Mausoleum following service.
