MCSPADDEN, BETTY LOU. - age 88 of Knoxville, TN passed away Friday, January 18, 2013. She attended the University of Tennessee and married her high school sweet heart Frank A. McSpadden, Jr. who passed away in 2007. They were married for over 56 years and had two children. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a founding member of West Hills Baptist Church. She was very active in the Knoxville community to include past president of Ossoli 1973-74, Girl Scotts of America troop leader, DAR Andrew Bogle Chapter, Gideon International, Knoxville Symphony and Sunshine Club, West Hills 10 oclock Garden Club, Acteens at Calvary Baptist Church. She was employed for over 10 years at Dollywood in her latter years. Survived by son James C. McSpadden and wife Cynthia A. McSpadden of Knoxville, daughter Sara Beth Jennings and husband Keith Jennings of Birmingham, AL, grandchildren Franklin Colson (Cole) & James Weston (Wes) McSpadden. Daughter of the late James Colson McKeehan and wife Mary Owings. Special thanks to her caregivers over the last few years. The family will receive friends Sunday 20, 2013 at Manns Mortuary from 1:30 to 2:30. Graveside service Sunday at 3:00 at Highland Memorial Cemetery, with Drew Prince minister officiating.
