David L. Benshoff, 61, of West Leechburg, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Allegheny General Hospital.
Born August 16, 1951 in Johnstown, he was the son of the late Benjamin & Martha (Lewis) Benshoff.
David lived in West Leechburg for the past 2 ½ years after moving here from Johnstown, where he worked for Good Samaritan Hospital as a Pulmonary Technician for 21 years. He was a member of the National Board of Respiratory Care, a Veteran of the US Navy from 1970-74 serving as a hospital corpsman, and a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, roller skating, and spending time with his family.
David is survived by his wife of 37 years: Cheryl A. (Lang) Benshoff, sons: Benjamin F. and Christopher D. of West Leechburg, Grandson: Alexander, and brother: John (Sharon) Benshoff of Carbondale, IL.
At David's request, all services are private, and have been entrusted to the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Leechburg, PA.
