Della Mae Powell, 79, passed away Friday, February 8, 2013 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Born in Cincinnati, OH, Della worked for Magnavox for 25 years, retiring in 1993. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary Post 2689 in Huntington. She loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her flowers, and spending time with her family. Surviving are her husband of 62 years, George H. Powell of Fort Wayne, son, Richard E. (Ruth) Powell of Fort Wayne, son, Randall E. (Kelly) Powell of Roanoke, daughter, Regena J. (Steve) Bunsold of Fort Wayne, son-in-law, David Linnemeier Jr. of Arcola, grandsons, Zachary (Angie Hunter) Linnemeier, Travis Linnemeier, Robert Powell, and Ryan Powell, granddaughter, Raeshelle (Anthony) Cousineau, grandsons, Brandon (Crystal Myer) Bunsold and Casey Bunsold, 5 great-grandchildren, step-mother, Edna Gabbard, brothers, Jack Gabbard, Gene (Susie) Gabbard, and Jeff (Jackie) Gabbard, and sister Betty (Lloyd) Walker. Della was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Mary Coyle Gabbard, son, George Powell Jr., daughter, Ronda Linnemeier, grandson, Braden Bunsold, and brothers, Lawrence Jr. and James Gabbard. Service is at 2:00 pm, Thursday, February 14, 2013 at - D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior. Rev. Kenneth Riden officiating. Calling also at - D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, Wednesday, February 13, 2013 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
