Diane McFarland Vittitow, R.N, 55, of Louisville, KY passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013.
Diane was a caregiver by trade and was always there to help those she cared for; from sun burn to a cold Diane was there to heal. Diane celebrated life, she loved to immerse herself in the miracle of nature. Diane was grateful and humbled by the gifts of the universe. She was a gift we will all cherish.
Diane was preceded in death by her father, Wilbur McFarland.
She is survived by her husband the love of her life, Steven Vittitow, her proud mother Edeltraut (Dell) McFarland who dearly loved her, two daughters, Stephanie Slaughter (Ryan Moberly) and Kristin Slaughter; two grandchildren, Gavin and Corbin Moberly; brother, David McFarland (Cathy); niece, Katie and nephew, Michael McFarland, all of Atlanta, GA.
Funeral service will be held at 5:00 pm on Sunday at Schoppenhorst Underwood and Brooks Funeral Home (Preston Hwy at Brooks Rd.) with cremation to follow.
Friends may pay their respects on Sunday from 11:30 am until the time of service at Schoppenhorst.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to Diane's grandchildren's education fund.
