Doreta Powell Martin, 77, of Owensboro, passed away October 31, 2009 at Owensboro Place. She was born on July 21, 1932 in Evansville, Indiana to the late John and Dorothy Hagen. She worked and ran Doreta�s Restaurant for several years. She loved to cook, grow house plants and watch television. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Tara Dawn Powell in 2006. She is survived by two daughters and one son; Darla Dee Bell of Masonville, Elesa Jones of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Clifford and his wife April Powell of Newburg, IN, 13 grandchildren; Lonnie Wayne Bell, Brent Bell, Matthew, Karman, and Lyndsey Powell, Yolonda Briehoff, Mike, Melinda, and Daniel Jones, Bo Newton, Michelle, Brandon, and Josh Powell, one great grandson, Trevan Bell, two step grandsons; Joseph and Scott Wheatley. There will be no services and James H. Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
