Duane R. Avery, 55, passed away Monday, December 24, 2012 at Edward Hospital in Naperville, IL. Born in Grand Rapids, MI, Duane worked as a Chief Engineer with Navistar for 19 years. Woodburn Missionary was his church home. Surviving are his wife, Carolyn Avery; daughter, Bridget Avery; son, Duane Avery II; daughter, Katie (Timothy) Mingus; 5 sisters and 1 brother; and 5 grandchildren. Duane was preceded in death his parents, Russell and Dorthy Avery. Service is 10:30 am, Monday, December 31, 2012 at Woodburn Missionary Church, 5108 Bull Rapids Rd with calling 1hr prior. Calling also at Woodburn Missionary Church, Sunday, December 30, 2012 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm. Memorials may be made to the Youth for Christ Woodlan area.
