Ed Dunn, a long time resident of Del Mar, passed away after a short illness on Saturday February 23. Lieutenant Colonel Dunn retired from the United States Air Force after having served his country for 29 years. He then embarked on a successful career in Tax preparation and Real Estate. He led a long and storied life filled with family, service and personal tales of survival.
He is preceded in death by his first wife and mother of his seven children, Diantha, his sons, John, Timothy and daughter, Clare. He is survived by his wife Margo, his sons Patrick, James and Matt, his daughter Rita, his 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
A memorial will be held at El Camino Memorial, Sorrento Valley on Saturday, March 2nd at 12:00 noon. Any remembrances are asked to be directed to the Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust.
