Jack Lindsay, 78, Bismarck, left this world on January 27, 2013. Services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 1, 2013, at New Song Community Church, Bismarck, with Rev. Larry Jahnke officiating. Burial will be held in the spring at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm Thursday, January 31, at Eastgate Funeral Service, Bismarck, where a prayer service will begin at 7:00 pm. Jack was born on April 10, 1934, in Mandan, ND, where he grew up and graduated from Mandan High School. After graduation, he attended UND and then joined the Air Force in which he received an Honorable Discharge. Jack was a Realtor and Appraiser in the Bismarck/Mandan area for the past 40 years. On October 1, 1966, he married Linda Stoltz. They were married in Bismarck and have lived here since their wedding. They had two daughters Christine and Mary. He enjoyed watching his girls in the various sports they played and was always their biggest cheerleader. The past 15 years, watching his grandsons play in their various sports and just watching them grow into young men was his biggest enjoyment. He also enjoyed reading. Jack will be missed not only by his family but a group of young men that called him "Grandpa" and many others in the community. He is survived by his wife, Linda, Bismarck; his two daughters and one son-in-law, Christine and Tory Neer, Bismarck, and Mary Lindsay, Las Vegas; four grandsons, Seth Neer and Izec Neer , both of Bismarck, and Isaiah Lindsay and Quinn Collin, both of Las Vegas; and one special "foster" son, Steven Madina, Wisconsin. He looked at both Tory and Steven as the sons he never had. He was preceded in death by both his parents; his sister, Colleen Hughes; and his brother, Frank Lindsay.
