Jack Sargent Wong was born in Lodi, California on September 20, 1927 and passed on December 21, 2012.
Beloved sibling and uncle to many, is survived by brother Donald Wong of Lodi and sister Betty Wong of Houston Texas.
He worked in the family business, New Shanghai Restaurant in Lodi, graduated from Lodi Union High School in 1947,
served in the United States Air Force 1952-1956 and graduated from California State University, Sacramento in 1960.
He retired as a Sacramento County Civil Engineer in 1992 after working there for 32 years.

He will be remembered by his family for his generosity, thoughtfulness and love for children.
