James Roy Pohlmann passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the age 74. Beloved husband of the late Doris Richerson Pohlmann for 27 years. Loving father of Bridgette Pohlmann Hughes (Scott), Alan Scott Pohlmann and James Pohlmann (Monique). Son of the late Marceline Deffes Pohlmann and James John Pohlmann. Brother of Jean, Tone, and Bob Pohlmann. Grandfather of Crystal, Dalan, Hunter, Hailey, Justin, Victoria and Olivia. Great grandfather of Skiler and Channing.
James was a native of New Orleans and a long time resident of St. Bernard and Plaquemines Parishes. He was dedicated law enforcement officer of St. Bernard Sheriff's Office and Plaquemine Parish Sheriff's Office. Mr. Pohlmann was an avid hunter and outdoorsman.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Vincent de Paul No. 3 Cemetery.
