James Truman "Jim" Stanley, age 67, of Henderson, KY, passed away at 12:22 PM, Tuesday, January 8, 2013, at St. Anthony's Lucy Smith King Care Center, Henderson, KY.

Mr. Stanley was a graduate of South Hopkins High School. He was employed at Whirlpool, Ford Motors, and eventually retired from Retiki Mines. Jim was a very active member of Watson Lane Baptist Church for over 20 years. He enjoyed teaching Adult Sunday School. Jim loved to travel, especially to Europe, but also enjoyed trips to Disney World and the Great Smoky Mountains. He enjoyed baseball, especially his beloved Cleveland Indians. His favorite past time was spending time with his family and cherished grandson.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Lucille Stanley of Morton's Gap, his daughter Tracy Lynn Stanley, his son Bryan Lenn Stanley, and 2 brothers Billy & Ronny Stanley.

Survivors include:

2 Daughters: Kellie Stanley Cotton & husband Mark Hanson, KY
Jacquelyn Faith Newman & husband Scott Owensboro, KY
1 Son: James Shea Stanley Henderson, KY

4 Sisters: Genevieve Heltsley, Shirley Glaysbrook, Loretta Qualls, & Shannon Oakley

3 Brothers: Louis Stanley, Larry Stanley, & Kenny Stanley

1 Grandson: Bryan Christopher Newman
Many Nieces and Nephews

Relatives and friends are invited to Jim's Life Celebration from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 10, 2013 and again on Friday starting at 9:00 AM at Benton-Glunt Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday the funeral home with the Reverend Brad Harrison & Reverend Keith Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellow Cemetery in Madisonville, KY.
