Janice Harker, 67, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, joined the league of Angels on January 10th. She is survived by her husband Orris Harker, daughter, Jennifer Ceres Bartlett, son-in-law Tom Bartlett, and her granddaughter, Elizabeth Marie Bartlett, all of New Orleans; son, Orris (Candi) Harker, Jr. and grandchildren Jordan and Duncan; daughter, Christine (Joey) McFadden and grandchildren D.R., Joey, Jr. and Sam; sister, Vicki (B.J.) Senior; sister, Belinda (Wayne) Holland; nephew and niece, Ben and Courtney Bates, and many friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Thelma and Robert Van Driel, and her former husband, Jimmy Ceres and many others who all loved her. Janice's kindness and loving spirit will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME (5100 PONTCHARTRAIN Blvd. (in Metairie Cemetery) on Monday, January 14, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation on Sunday, January 13th from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm and Monday from 12:30pm until service time.
