Kenneth D. Sirls, 80 of Benton, Kentucky died on Monday, February 4, 2013, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky.
Mr. Sirls was a member of Union Ridge Baptist Church. He was a retired Heavy Equipment Operator for the Industrial Union of Operating Engineers, Locals 181 and 320.
Born Wednesday, December 28, 1932 in Benton, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Carl Sirls and the late Grace Marie (Lovett) Sirls. He was the husband of the late Mary Lou (Young) Sirls.
Surviving are son, Tim Sirls of Hardin, KY, daughters, Carolyn Clendenen of Murray, KY and Sharron Ramsey of Benton, KY, brother, Danny Sirls of Hardin, KY, sisters, Patsy Turner of Benton, KY, Carlena Thompson of Benton, KY and Marsha Penney of Benton, KY; 8 grand children; 8 great grand children, and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, wife, and brothers, C.E. Sirls and Clarence Sirls.
A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Collier Funeral Chapel located at 211 West 5th St. Benton, Kentucky 42025 with the Rev. George Culp Jr. and Rev. Chris Young officiating.
Interment will follow in Union Ridge Cemetery, Aurora, KY.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. at the Collier Funeral Home.
