Laura Bell Gilmore, 87, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Friday, October 30, 2009, at Hillcrest Healthcare Center in Owensboro. She was born on January 30, 1922 in Daviess County, Kentucky to the late DeWitt and Lula Winkler. She was a member of Mt. Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Chester Gilmore on October 17, 1988 and by her sisters and a brother, Dorothy Winkler, Mary Hamilton, Mildred Carden, Muriel Adams, Luvenia Winkler, Ettie Ray and Felix Winkler. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shirley Gilmore of Philpot, KY; her daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy Faye and John Mardis of Owensboro, KY; four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Services are at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2009, in the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro, KY. Burial will follow in Mount Zion Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Daviess County, KY. Visitation is from 1:00-6:00 p.m. on Sunday and after 10:00 a.m. on Monday at James H.
