Mrs. Ella Louise Coleman Rains, 97, of Locust Grove, GA passed away November 5, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Ada Johnson and Thomas Jefferson Coleman. Mrs. Rains was also preceded in death by her husband, Barney Kimsey Rains; brother, Thomas Coleman and a sister, Elizabeth Richards. She was a lifelong member of Rogers United Methodist Church in Forsyth, GA. Mrs. Rains enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, flowers, puzzle books, singing and gospel music. Survivors are her children, Raymond and Connie Palmer of Ellijay, Ada Jean Sorrells of Douglasville, Patricia and Bobby Burns of Jackson, Karen and Johnny Hehir of Jackson and Cheryl and David Dye of Locust Grove; 15 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 – 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be on Friday, November 9, 2012 – 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Chaplain Frederick Caldwell officiating.
