Lyda Blanton was born December 5, 1926 in McKinney, Kentucky, the daughter of Tinsley and Bernice Ball. She was married to Paul Blanton, who preceded her in death in June, 1999 and by her three sisters, Jean, Fanalee and Mae .
She leaves a brother, Reverend Timothy Ball of Duncan, Oklahoma and one sister, Kate Spoonamore of Stanford, Kentucky. She left to wait for them with her Lord.
Her children, Larry Blanton (Sandy) of Orleans, Paula (H.L.) Foster of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Rodger Blanton of Orleans survive her passing.
She leaves seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Lyda was an employee of the former Travelers Radio in Orleans and had over thirty years of service at the Orange County Hosptial. She met her Savior early in life and served him all of her life.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Paoli. The Lord she loved so much came for her January 26, 2013. She met him peacefully.
She asks her many friends to celebrate her life and she leaves us all to the care of Christ.
