Marian F. Schacht (nee Bick), 89 of Cincinnati, formerly of Avon Lake, passed away, Tuesday, November 20, 2012. Mrs. Schacht was a high school home economics teacher at Amherst High School and retired from Brookside High School in 1983. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics from Notre Dame College of Cleveland.

Marian was a member of St. Joseph Church, Avon Lake, a member of the Lorain County Retired Teachers Association and the Avon Lake Women's Club. In her spare time she enjoyed travel, cooking, sewing and spending time with her family.

Marian is survived by daughter Susan Kimbrough (Kevin) of Cincinnati, son Kenneth Schacht (Sue) of Racine, WI, grandson Kyle Kimbrough and sister Pauline Kuebler (Denis) of Avon Lake. She is preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Donald L. whom she married May 30, 1947, parents Otto and Elsa (nee Bollenbacher) Bick and 3 brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at the Busch Funeral Home, 163 Avon-Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Sunday, November 25 from 2:00-4:00pm. A prayer service will be at the funeral home Monday at 9:30 followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, 32929 Lake Rd., Avon Lake at 10:00am. Fr Timothy J. O'Connor of the church will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
