Max G. Soto, age 67 of Adrian, passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013, at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born February 11, 1946, in Adrian, to Maximo R. and Natividad (Gomez) Soto. On February 29, 1980, he married Theresa Willenborg in Adrian and she survives. He served in the U.S. Army from 1968 – 1970. Max was the owner and operator of Soto's Lawn Care and Snow Removal. Max was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the American Legion. One of Max's greatest passions in life was spending time golfing.
In addition to his wife, Theresa, of 32 years, he is survived by two sons, John (Vicki) Arevalo of Toledo, Max A. (Laura) Soto of Adrian; two daughters, Allison (Ryan) Skeels of Adrian, and Raquel (Eric) Isaacson of Phoenix; two brothers, Marcos (Melissa) Soto of Adrian, and Ricardo Soto of Adrian; seven sisters, Beatrice G. (Julia) Soto of Adrian, Linda Ibarra of Toledo, Hilda (Douglas) Leith of Adrian, Louisa (Eddie) Cantu of Somerset, Elizabeth (Ramiro) Rosas of Adrian, Adriana (Anthony) Vasquez of Adrian and Gloria (Joe) Villalobos of Adrian; three grandchildren, Alana Arevalo, Mya Soto and Van Skeels. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Abel and Patrick and three sisters, Marylou and Raquel in infancy and Mary at birth.
Funeral services for Max will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2013, at 10:00 a.m. at Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian with Mr. John Solis officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, Adrian.
