Ngiem Veth,75, of Carrollton,TX passed on January 17, 2013 @ Baylor of Carrollton. Ms.Veth was born on March 1,1937 in Takeo, Cambodia. She had a total of 12 kids in which 6 survived.5 male & 7 female. Her husband, So Sode, deceased in 1975. Ms.Veth is survived by her sister Veth Ngim; 2 sons & their spouses, Krol & Lorn Sode, Kam & Malis Rith; 4 daughters & their spouses, Ren & Leun Uy, Reun Chhun, Ry Sode & Reth Tum, & Mona Sode;16 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren. As a single parent, Ms.Veth raised 6 beautiful children to the fullest,during a time of struggle & hardship. Ms.Veth's passion was selling jewelry ever since she immigrated from Cambodia.You may have fallen victim to her persistence & persuasiveness.She devoted much of her time & energy as a homemaker & caregiver. She enjoyed her time spent most with her family & those that were closest to her. People will always remember her as "The Jewelry Lady" also known as "E Thugh" (short and petite.) She never put herself first no matter how she felt on any given day. Her kids & grandkids always came first. "NO" was not an option, she was very adamant in having her way. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family.
Visitation will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 25, 2013 at Restand Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, January 26 at Restland Memorial Chapel.
