Ordra B. Madden 75, of Evansville, IN, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2009, at Brentwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Ordra formerly worked for Great Scott and retired from Schnucks. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed playing clabber, boating, and horse racing. He is survived by sons, Kerry Madden and his wife Margaret, of Evansville, IN; and Scott Madden and his partner, Steve Strong, of Edinburgh, IN; Granddaughters, Gretchen and Megan Madden; Great-Grandchildren, Christian Frenz, Hayley Frenz, and Jaeden Cayce; brothers, Jimmy Welch, of Owensville, IN; and Jerry Welch, of Gilmore, TX; sisters, Norma Jean Cobb, of Erlanger, KY; Jo Ann Madden, of Henderson, KY; and Candy Madden, of Gilmore, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Shirley A. Madden; sister, Betty Mayes; brothers, Gary Welch and Billy Madden. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 5, 2009, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home, East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Avenue, Evansville, IN, and will continue on Friday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 6, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Ziemer Funeral Home, East Chapel, with Reverend Randy Bechtel officiating.
