Philip E. Warren, 86, of Owensboro, Kentucky died Thursday, February 4, 2010. He was born on May 13, 1923 in Ainsworth, Iowa to the late Wilbur and Gladys Warren. He was had been employed by the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of Woodlawn United Methodist Church. He was an Navy veteran of the World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene D. Warren on June 26, 2009, by a daughter, Carole Lynn Thorpe Nesbit and by a sister, Mildred Blaesing. He is survived by his son, Philip Warren, Jr. of Owensboro; two daughters, Patricia Tish Warren and Elizabeth Liz Mann both of Owensboro; two granddaughters, Brenda Nesbit Howard of Wilton, IA and Mary Elizabeth Mann of Owensboro; one grandson, Jorge Aaron Mann of Owensboro, KY; one great-granddaughter, Danielle Conaway Gaeta of Kodiak, AK; a great-great grandson and a sister, Evelyn Harms of Bradford, AR. Memorial services are at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at the Chapel of James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory in Owensboro. Visitation is from 9:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Private burial will be in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Hospice of Western Kentucky, 3419 Wathens Crossing, Owensboro, KY 42301.

They are together again. All the pain and strife of this world is gone for Phil and he is at peace. Of course, those of us who are left behind are grieving. It breaks my heart to let him go. He was such a caring and hard-working man. I didn't realize he was that old. God bless you that are left behind. I will pray for you all. I'll be back in the States on February 26th. I'll get you my address and phone number when I get one. I'll be living in Salem, OR. Love to all. Judy
