Reita C. Kitzmiller, age 90, resident of Shelby died Monday, February 25, 2013 in Crestwood Care Center.
Born January 17, 1923 in Shelby to William W. and Bertha (Mayer) Robertson, she had been a lifelong Shelby resident. A 1941 graduate of Shelby High School, she was employed with the Shelby Salesbook and retired from the Shelby Autocall Company.
She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church. Reita enjoyed being outdoors, reading, gardening and frequenting Kingwood Center and the Mansfield Art Center. She loved to travel and had many fond memories of her trips to Europe.
Survivors include her son, Jack (Chris) Kitzmiller of Shelby; two grandchildren, Kendra Kitzmiller and Jason Kitzmiller (Kelsi Lynch) all of Shelby; one great-granddaughter, Justice Kitzmiller; one brother, Joseph (Freda) Robertson of Shelby; nieces nephews and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Kitzmiller, in 1984; two brothers, William Robertson, Sr., and George Robertson; four sisters, Edessa Hollenbaugh, Carmelita Dority, Mary Veronica Robertson and Alberta Robertson.
Private funeral services will be held Thursday February 28, 2013 from the Barkdull Funeral Home in Shelby. Father Nicholas Cunningham will officiate with interment in Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Cemetery. Calling hours will not be observed.
