Robert Richard Rekully, Sr., born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on April 15, 1949, passed away on August 27, 2012. Son of the late George Rekullly and Dorothy Aurnhammer Rekully Brady. He is survived by his wife Sarah Foote Rekully, his brother James Rekully, Sr, sisters Barbara Nollan, Carol Lecour and Grace Rachen. Father of deceased son, Robert Jr., survived by daughter, Crystal Rekully Waterman and son John David Rekully. Grandfather to Amber L. Rekully, Casandra Jones, Dylan and Brendan Rekully, Katlyn and Noell Rekully; uncle to Christopher Thompson, Wendy Moran, Melissa Ericson McCabe, Steven Ericson, Jessica Rekully Lewis, Elizabeth Rekully Schor, James Rekully, Jr, Amer Y. Rekully, Christopher Rekully, Jeffrey Raschen and the late John Raschen; great uncle to Alex Thompson, Amber and Ashley Moran, Hunter, John and Payton Nicola, Kaylee, Maveris Schor, Emily, Alyssa, Dalton, Olyvia Lewis, M. Cameron Ericsonm, and Teresa and Patrick McCabe.
Robert was a retired mechanic from Slaby's Sunoco in Holyoke, Mass and E-one in Ocala, Florida. He was a proud member of the Mid Florida Historical Association and the Gold Prospectors Association of America. He enjoyed being out in nature and valued his time there. He valued family and was always there for everyone.
He was also a mentor and father to his kids, nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Robert will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Services to be held at Roberts Funeral Home on 6241 SW SR 200 in Ocala, Fl on Saturday, September 1, 2012 from12 pm to 3 pm. Burial at family discretion.
