Roberta P. Watson
December 31, 1949 - November 9, 2012
La Grange-Roberta Pullen Watson, 62, of La Grange, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012. Roberta was born December 31, 1949 in Elizabeth, New Jersey to the late Joseph V. Pullen and Delores Warner Pullen. She served with the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. Roberta enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, music, helping others and most of all cherished time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
A service of remembrance will be held Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 12 p.m. from Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville.
Roberta is survived by her husband of thirty five years, James Denver Watson; three daughters, Misty Manus "Johnny" of Ohio, Tammy Watson "Chris Long" of Kinston and Sherry Parks "Early" of Mt. Airy; six grandchildren, Robert Parks, Brittany Hope, Kimberly Hope, Jake Manus, Landon Long and Hunter Long; five siblings, Clara Mae Harker of NJ, Diane Boatright "Jim" of NC, Leon Pullen "Doris" of NC, Russell Pullen "Ann" of NJ and Joseph Pullen "Pat" of NJ; sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Timothy Simerly of TN; along with a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rousefh.com. Arrangements are with Rouse Funeral Home, La Grange.
